The DSC 3002 is a class A MF/HF digital selective calling (DSC) system with built-in watch receiver. With navigational input from GPS via the NMEA 0183 interface, the DSC 3002 automatically includes the vessel’s coordinates in outgoing messages.
The DSC 3002 is designed according to the recommendations and specifications of the IMO, ITU and ETS for class A DSC equipment in the maritime mobile HF service.
In an emergency case, the DSC 3002 transmits distress alarms via the HMK-radios TRX 3015 or TRX 3050 by pressing the DISTRESS button.
For monitoring of distress alarms, the DSC 3002 incorporates the DSC watch receiver, which continuously scans the six distress frequencies (see technical data).
